CUII-Customer Service Line Material Inspections

Dear Valued Customer,

To meet federal EPA requirements, a service line material inspection must be completed at your property, either now or in the near future. These inspections are necessary to ensure the continued safety of our community’s drinking water and to comply with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR), as part of the Get the Lead Out Partnership.

If you have not yet completed our previous survey or your service line material has not been verified through another method, Community Utilities of Indiana (CUII) will require confirmation of the material.

You have two options to complete this verification:

1. Submit a verifiable photo You may also text a clear photo of your address and water service line (where it enters the home, clearly showing the pipe material) to 775-209-5078. You can also use this number to request more information about what to photograph or how to confirm your service line material.

2. Schedule a free on-site inspection Call our customer service department at 877-294-8890 and a field representative will reach to you to schedule a time between 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Note: Door to door inspections for unverified properties will begin August and continue through the end of the year.

Scheduling early will provide more flexibility and convenience.
