Updated: CUTX Drought Restrictions in Effect

Stage 2 Drought Restrictions

Watering of lawns and landscape areas is now limited to twice per week.

Landscape irrigation must be done in an efficient manner, and water may not runoff into the street in front of or past the owner's property.

Watering may only occur between the hours of 7 pm and 10 am. Please delay planting of any new landscapes.

No water will be available for planting new lawns or landscaped areas.

Water may be used to maintain an existing vegetable garden but should be applied in a manner to limit runoff or waste.

Washing of boats and cars must be done with a nozzle that cuts off when released.

All non-essential uses of water such as washing hard surfaced areas, controlling dust, or other non-essential maintenance uses are prohibited.

Stage 3 Drought Restrictions

Residential consumption is monitored Monday to Monday and limited to 5,000 gallons per week.

Watering of lawns and landscape areas is limited to no more often than once per week.

Landscape irrigation must be done in an efficient manner, and water may not runoff into the street in front of or past the owner's property.

Watering may only occur between the hours of 7 pm and 10 am. Please delay planting of any new landscapes or washing vehicles. All non-essential uses of water such as washing hard surfaced areas, controlling dust, or other non-essential maintenance uses are prohibited. Providing water to ponds, tanks, swimming pools, or other surface impoundments is prohibited.

Stage 4 Drought Restrictions

Residential consumption is monitored Monday to Monday and limited to 4,000 gallons per week.

Watering of lawns & landscape areas is limited to no more than once per week & may only be done by handheld hoses or drip irrigation. No automatic sprinklers or hose end sprinklers are permitted.  Watering may only occur between the hours of 7 pm & 10 pm. No planting of any new landscapes or washing vehicles is permitted. All non-essential uses of water such as watering hard surface areas, controlling dust, or other non-essential maintenance uses are prohibited. Providing water to ponds, tanks, swimming pools, or other surface impoundments is prohibited.
