North River-Mill Creek NC Sub 046 Chlorine Burnout

This is an important announcement from your local water provider for the North River/Mill Creek community.

During the month of April, ammonia will not be added to the water supply to comply with North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality requirements. You may notice a chlorine odor in your water during this process, but we assure you the water is safe to drink, bathe, and for other daily uses.

Water customers should be aware that during this time, traces of ammonia may still be in the water. It is recommended that customers who pre-treat their water to remove chloramines should continue to do so.
