Investment and System Improvements
Sunshine Water Services is dedicated to making necessary investments in our local water and wastewater infrastructure so that our customers can continue to trust the service we deliver now and in the future.
Please read more about some of our current system improvement projects below.
Smart Technology Implementation
We are replacing all mechanical water meters as part of a project to upgrade to an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI). These “smart” technology upgrades throughout our service areas will automate the meter reading process, enhance the reliability of the meters, and allow customers to monitor usage via My Utility Account (our online customer portal) after the system is fully implemented.
Please click here for more information about digital AMI meters.
Note: AMI enables two-way communication between utilities and a customer’s property via a secure wireless network that utilizes smart water meters and collector devices installed on strategically located AMI poles.
System Improvements
Much of the country’s water and wastewater systems often go unnoticed, despite the fact that they deliver daily life-sustaining and public health support. These aging systems require continuous investment to avoid crisis situations like those seen in communities where such glaring needs are ignored.
At Sunshine Water Services, we prudently plan and execute improvements to our local systems as part of our mission to provide reliable, quality service. This includes strategically addressing an array of infrastructure-related needs, including piping and lift station replacements among other projects.
