Friday, January 28, 2022-Utility Services of Illinois-Oakwood Watermain Break BWA

This is an important message from Utility Services of Illinois-Oakwood your local utility provider.  Today is Friday, January 28, 2022. We recently located another water main break, and we were unable to isolate just that area.  We have the water main repaired now and system should be back to normal.  You are still under a precautionary Boil Water Advisory until further notice. We ask that you please boil your water for a minimum of 5 minutes prior to using for drinking or cooking until further notice. We anticipate the boil water advisory being lifted no sooner than 48 hours. We must pass satisfactory testing results before lifting the advisory. However, we will provide you with a status update within 48 hours. A follow up message will be sent to you again when this boil water advisory is lifted.

Customers may continue to go to Culligan Water of Danville located at 107 W. Fairchild Street, Danville, Illinois where they can get a 3- or 5-gallon jug of water.  Please limit to one jug per household – supplies are limited, and we must ensure that water is available for all customers. We also request that you return your jug when you are finished at your earliest convenience.
