Brandywine Bay Elevated Tank Restoration Underway

Carolina Water Service of N.C. is happy to share exciting improvements are happening in the Brandywine Bay community! The Brandywine Bay Elevated Water Tank—one of Carteret County’s most recognizable landmarks—is currently undergoing a full interior and exterior restoration. These upgrades are an important investment to ensure the tank remains reliable and continues serving customers for many years to come.

The project includes surface preparation and reapplying sanitary coatings to protect water quality, along with fresh exterior coatings that will enhance the tank’s longevity and appearance. As part of the restoration, the tank will also receive new community signage, giving this well-known structure an updated and welcoming look.

Work began in February 2026 and is expected to be completed by early May 2026. We appreciate the community’s patience as we complete these improvements that will benefit Brandywine Bay for the long term.
