Cold Weather Safety

Due to extremely cold temperatures, take the following precautions to protect your home plumbing.
Please check crawlspaces, under mobile homes, and or unheated areas for frozen or broken water pipes.
To prevent your water lines from freezing, you may choose to leave a faucet on a slow trickle, about the size of a pencil tip.
It is recommended to use the furthest faucet from where your water line enters your home. The constant movement of the water helps to prevent internal plumbing from freezing. The small volume of water will only amount to a few cents per day but can prevent paying for costly plumbing repairs.
You may also wish to open cabinet doors under your sinks to allow warm air near your water pipes, this can also help them from freezing.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact our Customer Service Department. Stay safe and stay warm.
