Hurricane Helene Update: CWSNC Teams & Supplies Deployed to NC Western Region

Our teams are working as safely and as quickly as possible across the state to support our customers. All of our Western NC systems continue to be under a boil water advisory until we can safely assess the systems. Please use precautions until notified - we will continue to work diligently to keep you informed.

Boil Water Advisory
Once water is restored, consumers should boil all water used for human consumption (including, drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation), or bottled water is advised. Vigorous boiling for one minute should kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water.

Customers are encouraged to sign up for text, email or phone alerts from the My Utility Account customer portal. Please make sure we have the correct, up-to-date information for your household.

In Western NC, we continue to safely assess the impact of Hurricane Helene to our systems. We have procured critical equipment, supplies and mutual aid from our operations in neighboring states.

Our team is committed to keeping you informed. Updates, including when boil water advisories are issued or rescinded, will be shared via My Utility Account notifications and on our website under Alerts.

Reach out if you need us: Should you have questions or concerns, please contact our Customer Experience Team at 1-800-525-7990 or from My Utility Account.
